My father decorating some of his sanity mugs with oxides.

Joseph Panacci

My father has been a full time potter for over 25 years. Having a background in graphic design, photography and sculpture, he studied ceramics under Kayo O'Young and has been a studio potter ever since. Growing up, this played a huge impact on my development. My earliest memories involve playing in, being around and covered with clay. Creativity, expression and hard work were values I learned sitting on a stool in my father's studio, watching him work from 6 am until well past sunset.

Here are some of my father's pieces. All handmade, thrown on a potter's wheel, made with porcelain clay. The glazes are mixed and created by my father, and they are fired in a reduction wood burning kiln.
